The band meets every Thursday between 7.30pm and 9.30pm in Headingley, Leeds. See rehearsals for more details. New members are always welcome. Those interested in joining Phoenix should be at least Grade 5 Standard (Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music).

During a typical rehearsal a great deal of our time is spent working to ensure that as well as playing music to a high standard, we focus on the needs of the overall ensemble. Our aim is to understand the role of each part within the piece and work together to bring out the full potential of the music and thereby maximise the impact on the audience. There is as much emphasis placed on listening and responding to others as to the technical requirements of the music.

After the rehearsal all members are welcome to come to the bar at the Parish Centre for a drink. This is open until 10.30pm especially for the band.
